Not bad but alot of bugs

Fun game but the bluetooth multiplayer hangs at some point in every game. Please fix.

Wont open

Awesome. Just paid $2.99 for a game that doesnt open.

LOVE this!!

I loved the game growing up, and I love the version on my phone! I am completely addicted! I crack myself up every time I play against my avatar photos of the snapshots that you can insert onto the animated bodies. Love the take on it with the cars driving around. A very creative, fun, approach to what could be another boring car game with nothing to look at but cards on my iPhone screen. (love cards in real life, but not on my cell phone).

Mille Bornes

This game is so on the AI side it is impossible to win. Never get good cards or any that can stop AI.

Both aspects of this game are subpar...the app and the game itself

First the app: seems to suffer from cheat syndrome. Computer opponent seems to get all of the breaks. Annoying to have to slide your finger to play or discard a card....for something as simple as that you should be able to point and click. Next, the game: the game itself is way too flawed. It relies too heavily on luck, making it nothing more than a kids game. Theres very little strategy involved, if any at all. Next, the right of way safety card is obviously the most powerful in the game...get it and you have an extreme advantage over your opponents, even if they have all 3 safeties.

1st gen ipod touch: complete failure to start, no observable english language support.

IWell, I see the title screen and then it stops. I figured Id get support through the support link, but it brings you to a french company site that doesnt seem support-ish. I was excited to see my increasingly obsolete 1st generation ipod touch supported, since its becoming more rare, but buyer beware. Maybe theyll put out a lite version of some sort, so you can try before you buy and avoid being in my position. If Im lucky itll be patched.

Mille B

Brought this game and can not open it. Went to developers site for help and it is all in French which I can not read. I would not recommend purchasing this game unless you have money to waste.

The Smell of Nostalgia

I remember playing this game against my mom when I was a kid, but I probably havent thought about it in more than twenty-five years. I think this new version is great-- it has the classic card graphics that I grew up with, plus an extremely fun and slick graphical interface to simulate the "racing" aspect of the game. The game runs perfectly on my iPhone 4, and I have no idea what some people are complaining about when it comes to the difficulty-- Im played two 2-player games, and one 3-player game, and won the race all three times (some of them were pretty big comebacks, too). Is it luck based? Of course, but thats what this game is all about. Dont let the naysayers fool you. If youre looking for a modernized version of Mille Bornes, this app will definitely scratch your itch.

Really needs an update

This is a decent first release of the game but it definitely needs an update. Aside from the finite deck and cloud hang problem that others have mentioned, wheres the rest of the scoring options? Like getting to 700 first and having the option to extend to 1000 for extra points and the delayed action bonus. Also youre not supposed to get the safe trip bonus unless you complete the trip. Definitely a fun game but finish rounding it out and Ill give more stars.

Hate it!

Very maddening!!! Do not play against the computer or you may end up chunking your phone across the room. I have yet to win a game due to the fact that Im constantly getting a hazard and no remedy, and the lack of mileage is totally irritating. The computer gets all the safeties and miles. Definitely play with a friend!

Well done, needs a few tweaks.

A really solid port of a classic many of us grew up with. Fun graphics, smooth gameplay and very true to the spirit of the original. For those of you who are frustrated, welcome to Mille Bornes! It can be one of the most frustrating card games around. I think this is because you are often stuck discarding over and over. Remember that when youre stuck there is plenty of strategy to pay attention to regarding stockpiling cards and slowing opponents. The computer does not make some of the same strategic mistakes a human might, but I dont think its "cheating". Im 4 - 1 so far, but it really is a luck-of-the-draw game! Update potential - Game hangs occasionally when playing a safety card (cloud hang). - Needs a help or card reference screen available during a game, not only from the main menu. - Would be VERY nice to play turn-based on a server. - Would like to see the 700-mile/1000-mile scoring option available.

Fun but lacks replay

Well thought out player pics, game play, decent options with shorter play. Nice to play the game quick, but no call back to play more. It lacks keeping high scores of any kind. Also lacks a setting of low med high difficulty in AI or by choosing other computer players. Other games, angry birds, beckons others back to improve stars, scores, try new options. Yahtzee adventures takes you through the difficulties with new personas and new mad challenges. I hope this can grow into a culture like these other games.

Disappointed, unless you have a solution!

I grow up playing Miles Bornes and have taught a lot of friends & family how to play. My app keeps freezing up. I have not been able to pin point the problem. It is Very Upsetting to have all 4 Coup-Fourres & the winning milage card in your hand & the computer has zero miles. But, the game freezes before you can lay that last car down. This is So Frustrating and I know you can most likely fix it. I deleted the app & reloaded it a couple of times & it still freezes. I went to your support page but, it is not in English and doest have an option to change it. If you are selling it to Americans you should put it in English. It is called: Customer Service! I have an iPhone 4 w/32 gigs. Can up please create a fix in the next update. I will give 5 stars once this is fixed and get my friends to download it!! Thank You!

The Real Mille Bornes!

Now this is the version I have been looking for since purchasing my i-Pod at the Apple store 15 months ago! Except when loading--sometimes--Mille Bornes has the images we have known on their cards for the last 40 years, and you can make up four different names for four different humans--and even use your own pictures instead of what the game originally has on it! If youve played it when you were little, I do not really need to mention the rules of the famous card game that was introduced to the people of France. In fact, it was downloaded on the eve of its popular French holiday, Bastille Day! (And that eliminated two other spin-offs of Mille Bornes--both were purchased last year, and now both are gone.)

A chore to play.

I want to be fair to the developer, its hard for me to rate this anything but 5-stars, but that said, I obviously did, now allow me to justify this. First with the good... Fundamentally there is nothing wrong with this game, the rules are all there, the graphics are beautiful, the animations are crisp, the computer doesnt cheat (contrary to popular opinion), and its fun to play. The developer(s) clearly spent time on this and it shows with the polish of the game. With all that is right, there are some aspects of the game that really, REALLY, kill me: This game is a giant cut-scene, and that makes it a chore to play. After playing each card (which as another annoyance, you cannot simply double tap to play, you must drag it to your icon), for both you and an AI opponent, youre forced to sit through an animation of that card action happening. This is tedious after even a few cards. Worse yet is the absence of a standard card table, where you can see all cards that have been played and the status of the game. Instead one is forced to look for clues in the animation for the status, which is what I am sure was intended. What this game needs is a traditional card-game implementation. I want a classic card table, with all the cards played laid out, just like if I was playing at home. One last thing, it is really annoying having the players cards switch views only so you can see the backs of the opponents cards. What this game needs is a "No Thrills Mode", something to turn off all the bells and whistles and get down to the fundamentals. Most of the time I just want to play cards, and that is something this game makes difficult to do.

Needs stats

Nice game but needs to track wins/losses. Or have achievements.

New Version still has some old glitches

Love finally having an App for the card game I always loved. Couple of things - the new version still has the typo in the scoring page that says "Payers at a standstill" instead of "Players at a standstill." Please fix the misspelling when you get a chance. Also, I agree with some of the other comments that it would be helpful to have something that visibly tracks scoring as the game progresses. And some way to see/track cards played, the way you would if you were actually playing cards. When youre playing the actual card game, you have some incentive to carefully choose which cards to discard. For instance, if youre holding the Puncture Proof safety card, if you suddenly discard all your spare tire cards, you will tip off your opponent that you might be holding the Puncture Proof card. With the computer version and no visible card tracking, this incentive is gone so the skill required to play the game is reduced.

ABOUT TIME

Fun but I wish you can play as a team many you can update next time.

Blast from the past...its ok

I used to love this game when I was a kid back in the late 70s. In fact I still have the original game in my closet. I was excited to get this app. I played against the computer and discovered it was real tough. I realize there is a strategy to this game but in playing 30 games I won just once. I rarely get the bonus cards. It has good graphics, but just needs levels like beginner, intermediate and advanced. Some parts of the computer play are not life like or realistic. Example: I have to choose and try not to toss a card that would help my opponent. One computer player threw out a 200 card and the next computer player picked it up and used it. I dont think this example would happen playing with friends.

Cheating game!

The developer claims this game doesnt cheat which i find hard to accept. Ive owned this game for About 2 weeks and after playing many times I must say this game is definately designed to favor the computer players. This completely destroy the fun in the game. If this game isnt cheating, then it is terribly flawed!
